Welcome to SHETLER/DERBY MOVING & STORAGE, LLC. By engaging our transportation and forwarding services, you're agreeing to these terms. Don't worry, we've kept them as clear as possible.
1. Carriage Liability
How much do we cover? Our liability for loss or damage to goods in transit is strictly limited to the industry standards for freight transportation. For domestic transit within the UK, we adhere to RHA conditions unless otherwise specified in your specific cargo contract.
We don't accept liability for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit or market delay. Have you arranged adequate marine insurance? We highly recommend it for high-value forwarding.
2. Warehouse Holding Terms
Our warehouses for freight transportation operate under strict safety protocols. Goods are held at the owner's risk regarding fire and flood unless specific premium coverage is requested. We'll provide a signed inventory upon receipt; it's your responsibility to verify this immediately.
3. Transit Guarantees
We're committed to delivery excellence. While we strive for 100% on-time delivery, "Transit Guarantees" refer to our best-effort commitment within the logistical constraints of the current network. Extreme weather or port strikes are beyond our control.
